Hello! I’m Nicole, a long-time interiors and home styling enthusiast, a mum, and the heart behind this blog. My love for home styling began as a young girl where I discovered how simply rearranging my bedroom could completely change my mood. With a found love of getting creative with the space I had, it made me realize how our surroundings truly influence our mood and that a few simple tweaks can shift the entire energy of a room. 

Now, as a homeowner and a busy mum to an energetic little one, I am understanding of the all-consuming love and energy we pour into caring for our children. However, knowing the emotional impact our homes have on us, and now having the first-hand experience of this impact through the chaos of parenthood (after all, sometimes the last thing we feel like doing once the kids are in bed is taking on home projects and mini reno’s!), I have developed a strong desire to create time efficient, easy to achieve, peaceful spaces that everyone in my home can reap the benefits of. 

Motherhood has shown me that it’s not always the parenting that feels overwhelming, but often the clutter, lack of functionality or those half-finished areas of our homes that, if finished, may give us moments of calmness and have us feeling truly tranquil within our homes. 

I know how hard it can be to carve out time (or money!) to create beautiful, functional spaces when juggling family life. I also know how powerful it can be to make small, intentional changes that bring calm, comfort, and joy into your home—without stress or deeming it as ‘just another task’ to add to our seemingly never-ending to-do list. 

My mission for this blog is to offer simple home styling, decorating, DIYs and organization tips that still allow little hands and feet to play, learn and grow and won’t sacrifice precious time with your little ones. Remember, the goal is not to have the perfect home, but to feel good in the space you’re in. A family home needs to be lived in, but you can still feel good in your home and make it beautiful!
